- Corporate / head office / graduate: shoprite.erecruit.co
- Bursaries: shoprite-bursary.erecruit.co
- ShopriteX (tech): shopritex.breezy.hr

Register and verify your email
Click Register / Sign Up on the relevant portal. Provide your name, SA ID, email and mobile number. Click the verification link in your inbox. -
Complete your profile fully
Add education, qualifications, work history. The system blocks applications until your profile is 100% complete. Upload your CV in PDF or Word. -
Search vacancies and apply
Filter by category, brand (Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, OK, LiquorShop, House & Home), region or keyword. Click into the role, read the requirements, and apply. For the store portal, you'll join a talent pool that recruiters pull from when vacancies open. -
Or walk into a store
For cashier, packer, baker, deli and general assistant roles, you can also drop a printed CV at the Customer Service desk of any Shoprite, Checkers or Usave store. Visit mid-morning or mid-afternoon (avoid month-end and weekends), ask for the Store Manager or HR/Admin Manager, and follow up in 2–3 weeks.Tip: Many in-store hires come from the local talent pool when vacancies open. The online portal is the primary channel, but in-store is a useful supplement for store-level roles. -
Track and follow up
Log back into the portal to track status. If you haven't heard back within 8 weeks of applying online, treat it as unsuccessful and keep applying.

Spotting a Shoprite job scam
Shoprite is one of the most-impersonated brands in SA job scams. Africa Check has fact-checked multiple variants. A scam looks like:
- "Usave hiring, no experience, R4,000–R6,000/month" WhatsApp messages — the lack of education requirements is the red flag
- "Shoprite hiring with or without matric" Facebook posts asking you to message a private number
- Google Sites pages hosting fake "application forms" with malware-flagged links
- WhatsApp recruiters asking for ID copies, banking details, or upfront payment for "uniform delivery", "profile activation", airtime vouchers or gift cards
- "R3,500/hour" salary claims — no SA retailer pays entry-level cashiers that
How to verify:
- Cross-check the vacancy on shopriteholdings.co.za/careers.html, shoprite.erecruit.co or apply.shoprite.jobs. If it's not there, it's not real.
- Shoprite never asks for banking details, passwords, ID copies via WhatsApp, or any payment from job applicants.
- Anything on sites.google.com, bit.ly or random .co.za blogs hosting an "application form" is suspect.
- Check Shoprite's own scam-warning page: shoprite.co.za/scams
