Entry Requirements
- ✓Matric (Grade 12) with a pass in Core Mathematics AND Physical Science (Maths Literacy NOT accepted); OR N3 with 4 subjects incl. Core Maths and Physical Science
- ✓South African ID (certified copy, not older than 3 months)
- ✓Certified copy of highest school/college qualification plus a motivational letter stating 1st and 2nd choice field of study
- ✓Willingness to complete part-time studies during the programme
- ✓Attend a panel assessment / interview

STATUS (checked 18 September 2026): the 2027 Technical Apprenticeship intake at the Technical Learning Academy in Kariega, Eastern Cape, was advertised on the Volkswagen Group jobs portal and closed on 11 September 2026. No intake is open right now. The programme runs every year, and the last two windows opened in late August to early September and closed after about two weeks, so set a reminder for August 2027 and apply in the first days the advert appears. Training lasts three or four years depending on the trade, and preference goes to VWSA employees' children and Nelson Mandela Bay residents.
