- ✓Full N3 qualification with 4 trade-specific subjects (Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Mechano-technology/Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing); Rigger/Ropesman requires full N2
- ✓Resident of a designated South Deep host community (Westonaria area: Bekkersdaal, Zuurbekom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, Jachtfontein, Westonaria Borwa)
- ✓Medically fit (risk-based medical plus Heat Tolerance Screening for underground mining)
