Entry Requirements

  • South African citizen, age 18–34
  • Pharmacy stream: Grade 12 with Maths (or Maths Lit) and Life Sciences
  • Retail stream: Grade 12 / NSC
  • Currently unemployed
  • Strong customer service mindset and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends and public holidays
  • No criminal record (pharmacy stream requires SAPC registration)

Programme Structure

Induction

Weeks 1–2

Clicks values, customer service, basic pharmacy compliance and Clicks Clubcard standards.

📍 Store + Clicks Academy e-learning

Theoretical + experiential training

Months 1–10

Pharmacy assistant stream: SAPC-accredited modules plus dispensary practical. Retail stream: structured store rotations.

Assessment and certification

Months 11–12

SAPC summative assessment (pharmacy) / W&RSETA portfolio of evidence (retail) and NQF Level 4 certification.

Pharmacy stream candidates register with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist Assistant student before starting.
