Requirements

  • βœ“Be a national of, or have refugee status in, and normally resident in an eligible Southern African country (e.g. South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe; broader list also includes Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Eswatini/Swaziland, Zambia)
  • βœ“Hold a good first degree (minimum second-class, upper division or equivalent), or be completing one in the year of application
  • βœ“Be studying or applying to study towards a Masters or PhD at a South African university in an eligible field
  • βœ“Submit a complete application with supporting documents (certified transcripts, CV, ID, references; Masters: academic writing sample; PhD: research proposal and secured supervisor)
  • βœ“No generative AI may be used in the application - AI-assisted applications are disqualified
